For our final Café con Siete of 2018, we really wanted to do a Christmas special, but were challenged to find a local artist whose enthusiasm for Christmas music matched our own. So, we were elated when Daisy O'Connor said, “you should talk to my friend Lex Land—she is the Queen of Christmas.” ⠀

Introducing Cafe con Siete, a series where we invite musical guests to eat lunch and share a little about their own musical path. Pull up a chair and join us as we celebrate the many sounds of Siete though stories, laughter and song.

Right away, it was obvious that Sam Houston was going to bring the fun to Café con Siete. Dressed in rose colored glasses, wide-brimmed hats, and black leather jackets, Sam, Alejandro, Mike, Dylan, and JaRon certainly looked the part of a modern day jazz band. Their big smiles and relaxed presence made them look at home, like a group of friends gathering for lunch and a jam sesh.

Leave no casserole behind! In the spirit of gratitude, we decided to share some of our family's favorite ways to repurpose the plethora of remaining turkey, casseroles and sauces left behind following our Thanksgiving feast.
